Halloween 2011

My little Sweetpea.

Ben's comment when he saw this picture-
Mom do you know why I ate too much candy? Because there were too many ladies giving away candy at the Halloween party. (then he lowers his head and gives me the feel sorry for me face.)
Yep, I finally did it. I dressed up. I wasn't much of a dresser upper as a kid and haven't even tried since but after finding a $3 Goodwill costume as I searched for the kids I decided it could be fun. Saddly this picture was taken after the party, the hair had been taken off a few times already.

Bat Man

Yep we had to throw this in.

glad to get that hair off

pumpkin patch

Yep she wants the biggest one out there. :)

Senior Picts

What a handsome young man. It is crazy to see my little brother be so grown up, and so cool about everything. Thing I appreciate about Joseph: he is a worker, never tries to shirk and stays on task until ALL the jobs are done (very impressive, reminds me of Ammon), he is very thoughtful and helpful, he can cook (one Sunday years ago he didn't feel well and stayed home from church and we came home to a complete cooked meal, rolls and all, waiting for us), great with kids, he is pretty tough (see strong man competition), he is a doer of the word, unselfish, and I just enjoy getting to talk to him inbetween his crazy busy schedule. What a good kid.

We only had a few minutes to snap these as he had to get to school and of course the pictures are due that week so this was my rushed attempt at taking them and my first time trying to edit online. I used picnik.com.

Catch up

I just wanted to throw in a picture of me but as I take all the pictures all I could find was one taken by the kids. Oh well.

Hazel's birthday. Cousin time

Avery is 9

YeeHaw! Avery had a cowgirl birthday party!

Thanks to my totally talented and thoughtful friend Mindy who came to my rescue and whipped up this beauiful creation.

Starting with a craft- decorating cowboy hats.

Chuck Wagonn Dinner- doogies in a blanket (mini corndogs), mini sloppy joes, baked potato wedges, apple slices with dip.

Birthday cake and ice cream. This is where having a husband is crucial. How else do you get rock hard ice cream out? I did let it sit for a while but I was running out of time.
The beautiful cake before someone "fell" on it.

Opening presents- I love everyones expressions as they watch.

Thanks Joel and Amy and Micheal! (I need to find me one of these)

Saddly we ran out of time to even do the main event- pony rides.
I think the count was 13 kids (not counting mine or babies).

Homecoming King

My brother Joseph was Homecoming King!

(hat made my Aunt Amy, Thanks)

Everyone wanted to wear the crown!

I mean everyone

This is actually just a delayed picture of Daniel as he was the Homecoming King his Senior year but he wasn't allowed to come out of the locker room at half time to be crowned. So it really was his crown he just didn't get to wear it till now.

No kidding everyone, wouldn't you?
