Avery

I just wanted to quickly up date Avery's school days. She doesn't mind the uniforms and seems to like to sneak a different colored shirt under her uniform. Such a rebel. She likes school enough but I think it is odd that she doesn't have any recess and only occassionally goes on a walk with the class around the play ground, but no playing. She says she misses her other teacher because this one yells alot. She told me the other day, "Mom Mrs. R was very very nice, I miss her." So anyone still in O-town maybe you could pass that on for us. Avery really misses you and thinks you are the best teacher. She rides the bus and is gone all day but atleast she can get up 2 hours later so that is very nice for all of us. She has gotten excited about doing hair lately and always want to put up her own pony tails and clips and fun new dos. She made me laugh last week when she said, "Mom I have the perfect thing for your hair. A girl in my class had her hair all poofy. Then she had little curls in it and she pulled it back really tight and the end was a big poof ball. She had black hair I wonder how it would look in my yellow hair." I am afraid her friends hair is just naturally that way, ok 90% of the school has hair like that. She is fun as she learns this stuff. I will try to put pictures up later.

Pirate Payton...

This is the cake incase you couldn't tell.

Yep it is party time again. Payton wanted to be pirates and have lots of friends over. So we invited everyone we knew and had lots and lots of candy. Thanks for everyone that came, it was a blast for my kids to have someone new to play with. I am not a great planner or organizer but having a birthday party is the easiest excuse to have people over and an easy way to make friends and play. Joel and Amy thanks for the GI bear. Payton slept with it he liked it so much.
We had a little treasure hunt and took them around the house and yard and up into the attic and all the cool hiding spots in the house to find the treasure.
That evening when we were going to bed Paige looked up at me and said with excitement, "Now it my birthday!?!" Yep but don't get any ideas.

Payton said he wanted to have an eye ring. Humm I wonder where he heard that before? :)
Oh and if I didn't mention it before Payton did lose his tooth up front there. He actually swallowed it during dinner and made for an interesting night. But the dentist said it was going to have to come out but she couldn't pull it out with her fingers so she said to just let it fall out. Opps.

Family Home Evening (at the alley)

Check out the great form. I just wanted to share our fun night last week and add Payton's comment- "Wow, these are the coolest shoes. I wish I had a pair like this!"

Winter wonderland

We left for a Sunday fireside when it was drizzling and come home to this. Avery missed her first 3 days of school as it was cancelled. Don't worry it is over now and by Saturday we had over 80 degree weather. I guess it might snow this weekend and I think I will pay a little more attention this time.

OK so not everyone thought the cold snow was so wonderful.

So by Monday I think the depth was about a foot. The whole town closed down. I wish we had real sleds. All we had was a boogie board Payton got the week before as he was sure we would go swimming soon.
