Family dolls

Ok I wanted to share this cool idea my mom did for Chirstmas. It kind of follows the American Girl dolls that were so cool when I was little. So she got dolls and made matching dresses for each girl and their doll. Then she made little books but instead of having an American girl they will have stories of an ancestor. The cutest are the kids that are named after ancestors and so like my son has my grandfathers name as his middle name and now he has the Jay doll. They are all very excited about their dolls and are excited to start filling their books. What a smart way to make their history come alive and draw closer to those that came before them.

Merry Christmas

Christmas breakfast great like always.

So this was probably the first year with out a big melt down. It was especially fun with lots of cousins around. All the toys just got passed around from kid to kid and surely got used. What a blessing it has been to stay here and was a special treat especially for us to have Justin here to share it.
A few weeks ago Justin called and asked Avery what he should get her for Christmas and she said "I just want you for Christmas Daddy." So it was decided we wouldn't worry about toys but sure we did get a few toys just to keep us all busy.
We did get to have fun with my mom's Christmas present, she got a sweet 4-wheeler with power steering.
We hope all of you have a great Christmas and New Year and enjoy the peace and joy that seems a little closer this time of year.

Glooo-ooooo-ooooo-oooooria...

So this was an old picture that showed the awesome sunset here.

Payton is in the center with the red towel behind the boy in the red robe.

Sadly I can't find the pictures I wanted to post today. I have misplaced my camera (I am embarrassed to say again). So I have to borrow other peoples and so I just realized I am trying to download pictures off the wrong camera. They look the same so we will see if I ever post what I intended to.
So this was at the ward party last night. It was fun. Isaac is my new favorite singer. He was so cute.

Old School

Ok don't ask why I am posting such random pictures but I can not seem to find the ones I was looking for and so I decided to just go a head and post some random old school ones for kicks. So the little boy alone is my little brother that isn't so little anymore. He is getting married after Christmas and we are very excited for him and his beautiful fiance Candice.
I think the one with him and Grandpa Jay is from before his mission.

Well the weather outside is frightful. But inside it is so delightful.
Here are a few pictures I wanted to send. This is Avery in her sweet outfit from Jessica. Thanks. The dark picture was the snow this morning. It is still snowing a little, I guess todays forcast shows highs of 0. Nice huh. Well I hope everyone drives safe to town we have wrestling tournaments today.

Thanksgiving

Justin in his gear.

Well here are a couple pictures from my Thanksgiving trip. Look at those good looking boys. I wish I took a few more pictures but it is different when I am not focused on the kids and capturing their every moment. Justin is doing great, and it was soooo nice to see him, finally.
I hope if Paul sees this he understands that the A hat is for Avery and surely not for Alabama. j/k (he thought that was your team so he picked it up)
We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. It is a good thing it is about more then just food or I would have been disappointed with the chow hall food.
I also got to hang out with Paul's family for a day or two. That was a treat and something I wish I had gotten my camera out for. Ben sure liked having Will take care of him.
