ICE

Here are some photos of our trip to the ice rink while my family was here. I am pretty impressed with how everyone did. We thought about leaving the little ones home and after not fitting in the van we really thought we should but they had just as much fun or more then some of the older ones of us. I realized that my skates were too small too late, maybe others had that problem too.
Paige and Jenny were the daring ones. Jenny worked on spins and turns while the rest of us never got too far from the wall. I think Justin enjoyed his freshly sharpen skates so that was cool.
Sadly I realized how terrible I am at taking pictures. Most of them are blurry beyond recognition. So almost every one's spins or spills all came out as blurs. I thought these were the best at least blur wise.

75% is still pretty good... right?

I just thought I would share a quick thought I had the other day that involve this kiddo.

So the other day I was in the kids room helping them with something. Ben stepped out but the other 3 stayed in there and we went from one thing to another and read a little cleaned a little and really stayed there for a long while. I thought Ben would be right back and I thought well the other 3 need my help so having 3 out of 4 is pretty good odds. I decided he must have fallen asleep as it was so quiet.
Finally when I finished what I was doing I walked past the kitchen and had that feeling that someone was watching me. I turned around to see this dark bearded little man sitting like a stone, frozen in the act of eating chocolate frosting out of the can with his fingers.
I wish I could have captured the whole kitchen because there was a trail of where this chocolate man went. He was all over the cupboards on the table, chairs, in the refrigerator, freezer, pantry, even the garbage. It was so funny to see his little chocolate trail all over the kitchen. He had been busy and apparently also hungry. So I guess 75% wasn't that good.

Snow

Oh yeah it happened!! Real snow finally reached us. Justin took these awesome pictures as he was out with the kids. I went to a great baby shower but by the time I was back most of the snow was gone and the snowmen were melting melting melting...

Opps.

Here comes Ben (with the pink gloves).

NICE!!??? Who didn't stop that kid! It does look like a huge snowcone.

more photos

Hanging around while Dad packed we thought it would be fun to try on some gear. Everyone had fun with it.

I did say everyone.

Okay, so maybe it is a bit too heavy for some. He thought it was hilarious though.

Good night.
I know I look silly but I loved everyone's expressions!

Sisters

Well I can't believe it but my Mom and my sisters came out to visit us on the East Coast!!
Due to some unforeseen events our trip we had scheduled was canceled (again) but we decided to fly my mom out as planned. We decided we also wanted my two little sisters to come too if possible. They have been working to save up money to offset the cost of a ticket and they made it!
I have plenty to blog about our week of events and projects but I just wanted to start with what a blessing it was having my mom and my sisters come out and spend time with us. What a treat and what perfect timing it turned out to be. (Not planned of course.)

( I love this picture of mom.)

This was my sisters first time flying. My mom's first flight I think was when Ben was born just 2 years ago and the second flight was helping me fly out with the kids in Sept. (correct me if I am wrong) Maybe I should set up a fequent fliers miles card for her.
I hear the girls could get used to this flying stuff. (Holly you are welcome anytime :))
