Here was our excitement last week. Luckily my sister noticed the smoke as all the men were away when the weeds caught on fire. It was exciting to be out there trying to help. I am sure I didn't do a whole hill of beans but I did learn on the front lines how quickly a couple little fires can become wild fire. The wind picked up and the fire really came alive. What an amazing force. I want to thank all those who have shared their shoes (Maureen and Julie). I guess wearing my Sunday sandals wouldn't be the recommended firefighter footwear. We were very blessed that a few things that could have should have burned were not touched and it came under control before doing real damage. What a scare!
