Well with our computer down for a while I am a little late but Happy Mothers Day!
My day went great and I have to say I really really appreciated my Dear Husband that day. I had only a musical number with the children at church and I only had to worry about singing with the children for the second and third hour as the music leader and I thought I had a lot on my plate. Justin had to play the piano for sacrament (the first hour), the men's musical number and for choir practice after church. He also was asked to step in and teach the 11 year olds for the second hour of church and possibly teach the men during the third hour. Well the musical numbers went well Justin played beautifully and then we both did our second hour lessons but for the last hour of church they wanted to surprise the women and had the teenagers come in to cover the teachers and let all the mothers and wives go to the women's class. Well they took all of the younger classes but forgot to do anything for the older children. So Justin found someone was going to teach the men and he volunteered to take care of everything for the rest of Primary(the childrens group). Boy did he have his hands full! He did the sharing time, singing time, and closing exercises all by himself and played the piano for the songs and arranged someone to lead them. Of course the children with the scripture, talk and prayer forgot so he did those too. He was amazing! I can never even think about complaining about my little tiny job of swinging my arm around and singing in front of a group. Oh and choir practice was great too. At home Justin didn't crash either after his busy day but spent the evening creating a masterpiece over the grill with his t-bones and shrimp. Mmmmm... I would have to say it was Justin's day!

Looking for a local photographer? I know I am not local but I sure know a whole lot of friends and family who are. Lee Ann just moved back to Tri-Cities WA and is doing a give aways for a free photo shoot. Garden Time

A white tulip from the front yard.
My early garden. We planted the strawberries in Feb. when my mom was here and then before Justin got back we painted 3 discarded dresser drawers and tried to disguise them as planter boxes. I can't believe how quickly everything seems to be growing in these. I packed in onions, lettuce, spinach, carrots, tomatoes, and sweet peas. We are already harvesting the lettuce and spinach and the onion need to go next. Our first peas were enjoyed just yesterday and this first strawberry turned red today. Hooray for summer.
Square foot gardening, again. These might look familiar. Justin's parents were awesome to cut wood and haul it down for us and Justin put them together in cool 3x3ft planter boxes that are mobile. I think this blog got started with my excitement over the original garden boxes Justin made.

1 part peat moss + 1 part vermiculite + 1 part compost= rich fluffy soil!

Ave

POETRY DAY!
She wanted to look just right for her poetry part so she decided to give herself a personal haircut (with out even a mirror.) It was done LATE the night before so I didn't try to fix it and just tried to cover it up the next morning with curls.

Spring Break!!

Justin's parents called us a while ago and invited us to join them at the Myrtle beach during our spring break. It was colder then our fall trip but it was still fun and we still played on the beach. Of course I preferred the warm indoor pool and lazy river. Paige had her birthday there too and we all enjoyed a few days of relaxing and swimming. Payton even found a shark tooth. Ok I don't know what kind of tooth it was but it was black and sharp. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Meredith!

Justin and I snuck away for a quick round of mini golf in between swimming and napping.

Beautiful Easter

Our Beautiful Easter Sunday!
We had such a treat to have General Conference on Easter and to have Justin home and Grandparent here was just a bonus. What an amazing Conference. We were so blessed to make it to the Saturday and Sunday sessions. How appropriate to have conference on Easter. We didn't have time to do Easter egg hunts or dye eggs but I love this Easter for the special talks we heard and the Spirit that was felt at conference. On Sunday we went to a park in between sessions as it would take too much time to go home. Justin packed a lunch and we found a beautiful park and place to enjoy the beautiful day.

I have too many of these pictures. Ben truely is a runner. Most of my pictures of him are of his back and usually he is half out of the picture before the camera finally takes the picture.

Some Grandma time.

Hooray for grandparents!

A TRUE Paige look.

I still have no idea how the bike ended up in the back of the van, but Payton sure knew it was there.

Catch up

Well I have a lot to catch up but I don't think I can get it all in order so hang in there.
As you can tell from the music we are pretty excited to have Justin back.

Yep, Paige had a birthday.
